i watched Akeelah And The Bee, really good movie from 2006. it's about a young girl from the inner city who is good with words, and her journey to the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Lawrence Fishburne plays her mentor/father figure. great film!

i fixed my washing machine today finally, after having it torn all apart for the last two weeks. i had to take the inner tub/drum out of the washer, in order to replace a broken overload sensor, cleaned it all out, found a bunch of coins and junk in the catch trap underneath the driveshaft housing, and had to use a dremmel tool with a sanding disc on it, to clean years of gunk and clumped up detergent off the driveshaft itself. put it all back together yesterday and today, and ran a full laundry load tonight, yippeee much satisfaction! only spent $80 on sensor and sanding discs, and had help from tons of youtube videos!
 me and youtube for the win! __________________
