Poor Daisy though. She liked Alfred very much but he wasn't that much into him. William loved Daisy but she didn't love him as much as he loved her. She can't catch a break.

If William had survived, I think it would have worked out. Their relationship would have been a slow burn. I agree that it will be a slow burn and that if William survived, it will work. I'm just glad that at least Daisy keeps in touch with Mr. Mason and is in fact a proper heiress now that she owns a farm. She can actually leave Downton and manage that if she wants to.
