Yes it's about the first two seasons.
The book talks of the life at the beginning of the 20th century and connects what happens in Downton with the real life during these years.
And also there are articles about the actors and little quotes from them: for example Laura Carmichael doesn't have her driving permit so she really learns to drive for S2 and her work at the farmer.

It's an interesting book, I don't bought it but maybe my sister will do.

It so well done and those brilliant British comedians are so great. It's a 'spoof' but it's obviously done with lots of love and respect to this show.
