Yes. Mrs. Patmore isn't used to being challenged because she is the boss in the kitchen so she really felt threatened by Mrs. Byrd's presence.

I love that episode Thomas was selling to her those goods and she wouldn't budge and give Thomas the benefit of the doubt. She said she'll pay him after she's satisfied with it. Smart woman.

Thanks for posting here. I've been meaning to post here but glad the thread was bumped up. Lesley also tweeted about this and I have the same dog (mine's black) to the one she's carrying in the picture on the article. Plus I love dogs so I loved this article.

I do like that Mrs. Patmore is very strict in the kitchen. She does boss Daisy around but managing a staff in a big house can be very stressful.
