Ugh that gif. I know that M/M will end up together anyway and that Matthew was being dramatic but still. His face looks so sad & dark at Lavinia's funeral.

I had forgotten Matthew said that to Mary. "We're cursed you and I."

When you think about how Matthew was tragically killed so soon after they finally got married, you understand just how true his statement was. They found happiness together but it was cut so short. Unfortunately the word "cursed" describes them all to well. Happily their union produced the beautiful baby George. Their love will live on in him.

Yeah, now that you mention it they are cursed. At least not entirely since there is baby George.

I can't wait to see a more grown George next season.

I want him to start talking already? Like "Where's my father?" or something.

Mary will tell him of the short time he's spent with Matthew and I'm sure George will have fond memories of him. But George will grow closer to whoever Mary decides to marry in the future.

Thanks. I got it from the hospital scene with a newborn baby George. Matthew was waxing poetic and all I can think about in that scene was "Matthew's gonna die".
