Cora says something like "post war has not been kind to Robert" in 3.08, Thomas mentions that he worked with Sybil at the hospital during the war and Mrs Hughes says in 3.08 that Thomas was wounded for "his king and country". |

And Matthew mentions to Sir Phillip that he's been injured at war. I think Carson has also mentioned it but can't pinpoint which episode.

So how was it? Was there any sneak peek for S3?

That's something we can look forward to isn't it (not the killing part but the family finding out, haha)? We have the CS or S4 to worry about that. It will be the end of her, I'm sure of it.

If one of the family members find out, then Cora's bound to know soon. I'm hoping it'll be brought up again. If not in the CS then at S4.

I personally think that SF leaving was why it was brought up again in 3x08.

Me too Scarlet But I truly don't understand. O'Brien is Julian's favorite and it's one of the few characters who have always had an interesting plotline through the seasons. And I don't want to sound rude but I don't think SF is getting any offers like Jess and Dan Anyway, as I said, I truly hope it's SF's decision and not Fellowes'. I will miss her so much

We don't know for sure if Siobhan is getting offers. Maybe she is. JBF and Dan we read a lot about because they're the popular ones on the show (there are tons of fansites dedicated to them). Siobhan - you have to google for news. And if she has a reliable fansite, it's good if it's updated.
I don't see any reason for O'Brien not to leave when the family finds out. She must not get a good reference and I don't think Cora will forgive her (or anyone for that matter). So I guess she'll do anything so that the family won't find out. Probably repair her broken friendship with Thomas. It's quite scary that Bates knows (even if it's not the entire thing) because he's close to Robert so if I was O'Brien, I'll be kissing the floor Bates & Anna walks on so my secret is safe and forgive Thomas too. She seems to be someone who would live & die in D.A. so she will do everything not to leave and let the family find out. __________________

Just had a thought. Wouldn't the entire household know that Cora slipped in the bathroom when she miscarried? Because she was fine one minute and then the next she miscarries. The gossip machine ought to have been running full tilt asking what happened? Then the others would put in their bit like, "The last I heard she was fine." "I heard the water run, she was in the bath." "Think she slipped or something in the bathroom?" etc.
Now that Anna and Bates know that O'Brien's secret is "The ladyship's soap" It might click one day for Anna, who did a fabulous job investigating the situation with Vera's death. __________________

Some gossip-y downstairs people for sure would've talked about it and hopefully some word of that gets to either Anna or Bates. I don't know, JF writing that these two know about this already is good set-up for what is to come for O'Brien.

It is a good set up for the O'Brien storyline
