That is absolutely precious.
It is eerie how much the twins who play George look like Dan Stevens. I think that's a reason why it pains me each time to see that child on screen. Sybil's daughter doesn't look just like her so although it's sad to see Sybil's daughter the visual isn't there. Looking at the twins that play George brings back Matthew's face each time I see those kiddos (the twins). It's almost shocking, if that makes sense.

And on another subject, I LOVE the fashions the upstairs ladies always wear...but I try not to look at the footwear because it's always HIDEOUSLY ugly. The shoes were awful in that time period.

I don't usually notice the shoes, but yeah, now you mention it aggie, they weren't the best back in those days.

Haha, yes. I'm not a big fan of Mary Janes and they look uncomfortable back then but there are more shoes that are also uncomfortable in this period.

If one wants to dress up the "Downton way" but modern, here are some tips:

Shoes should be round toe — A Mary Jane with T strap will work. But no stiletto — they weren't even around yet! — or peep toes that would spoil the look. Instead think something that looks like a tap shoe. Cloche style hats — Local thrift stores like Replay and Retropolis have some. Headbands — A thin scarf will do. Tuck in a feather or something sequiny. Skull caps beaded or crocheted — They fit like a swim cap. Wide brimmed hats embellished with flowers or feathers. Gloves — The longer the better; above the elbow is best. Stockings — Roll them down just below the knee.
