I really now understand how Robert/Cora balance each other out and that's why they are married because of this ep. But I will talk more about their relationship in their respective thread. I just wished that Cora has noticed that something is bothering Edith because she is that kind of mother. I thought she was also going to give Thomas the chance and not sack him after what he did (regarding Baxter) but she actually considered to fire him which was un-Cora like. But I guess given the circumstances, she does need to fire Thomas.

Is anyone liking this whole drama with Cora/Robert and Bricker? I know that we'll see a fallout soon but for some reason, I'm liking this drama.

Elizabeth will be featured in the Downton Abbey Christmas album out November 10.

I quite enjoyed Cora in that ep. It was a good thing that Violet & Rosamund finally told her about Edith/Marigold. The way she handled it too was spot on. I would be angry that my own daughter kept a grandchild away from me. I know Edith has her reasons but how long was she going to live that life with Marigold. Like Violet always say "family comes first".

Totally agreed. I'm actually so, so glad they told Cora the truth behind Edith's visits to Drewe's house. Marigold is Cora's granddaughter and everyone knows that Cora is the one trying to hold the family together, whatever may happen, but they didn't care a fig about her until this episode. I mean, she deserves to know, and she was clearly disappointed when she realised they never bothered telling her. Violet and Rosamund can be so nervewrecking sometimes, it is driving me mad. However, the secret has finally been revealed, so .. let's see what the future brings. Bittersweet at the moment.

I do understand that Rosamund & Violet were only honoring Edith's request not to tell the rest of the family and they did. Though of course Cora will understandably be mad. It was good that she was quick enough to find a solution for Edith & Marigold and that her decision not to tell Robert (and the rest of the family) is also a good one. I don't think they need to know for now.
