My wife and I were noticing how the entire show seems to be some fantasy of Doc's. I can't see the writers cheapening this awesome show like this, but it *is* interesting to explore:

1. A comic shop owner (Doc) who holds twp PhDs and who wrote a definitive work on Alcatraz...yet is still running a comic shop and draws comics.

2. A cute, blonde detective who immediately trusts, respects, and relies on Doc.

3. Because of Doc's special knowledge, he is recruited to a super-secret team/agency.

4. Each of the returning prisoners/guards are like each episode's "super villain" with their sinister, mass-murdering, chaos-creating activities.

5. It's all wrapped up in some time-travel/secret government conspiracy/mad-scientist type sci-fi.

6. And, let's not forget Madsen, who is not only cute and blonde, but is also tough, smart, and action-hero quality while still being "cool to hang out with."

This just made us think that "Wow - this is a comic book nerd's dream come true!" And we should know, because we are comic book nerds.

Perhaps it's just targeted to the right crowd!

I reckon they were all frozen for about 50 odd years and now whoever's controlling them, has defrosted them and is telling them to go out and committ crimes.

Just my crazy theory.

I don't know if this is a new theory to everyone, but I wonder if they were cryogenically frozen.....but the question is where...and why....?

I doubt that they will revealed it soon dear. What we know so far is, that not every 63s inmate has collodial silver in their blood. So, they only give it to particular ones, why?
