Hey everyone I thought since the returns and plot for season 2 have been announced we could start the discussion thread already.

So excited for all of the returns

October cannot get here fast enough.

Ah...We know that it is supposed to take place in a mental hospital on the east coast.

According to TVLine, the casting process has begun for an actress in her mid-20′s that will play a “major season 2 arch nemesis for Jessica Lange”. Named Gia, she’s said to be partially based off of Angelina Jolie’s character in Girl, Interrupted:

“Gia, is described as a fierce, ferocious, extremely sexual and dangerous wild-child sexpot who harbors a secret…”

In case you missed the previous news, the Harmon’s story is done and American Horror Story season 2 features a brand new story, characters, theme, and location. This time the horror will take place in an institution on the east coast. Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Even Peters, and Lily Rabe will all be making a return to the show, but will be playing new characters.

The writing and casting of season 2 is still ongoing, with shooting expected in to start in July. American Horror Story will return this October.

Sounds really cool. I'm even more excited now that I know we're getting Zachary Quinto, Jessica Lange and Evan Peters back this season!

I really can't wait to hear the roles their gonna be in either!

Ok, i've read it before. Im really interested in how they will make the story. Im assuming that Gia is an patient who is nursed by Jessica.

I think it would be really interesting if Jessica was a patient. Though I think I'd love to see all of the actors in that role actually.

Then again they were all kind of crazy last season so maybe it's time for a change

Though I'm under the impression that everyone will be bat-crap crazy because is is American Horror Story we're talking about.

I think Zach could play a doctor or patient.

Evan is probably going to play a patient. Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe can be patients too or doctors/nurses.

I'm guessing the flashbacks are going to be about the patient's stories and not other decades.

They might be looking to cast Kaya Scodelario as the Gia character!!!!! I will be so happy if this happens

But that would be awesome! I would love to see her again. She was great in skins.

They are looking for people and those 5 have been recommended

Isabelle Fuhrman would be interesting. The other suggestions are a bit odd imo.
