I would say the writers should give Malarkey what he wants! some screentime with Bonnie... but it's not happening.

It should be quite easy to write Bonnie/Enzo scenes.

Has Kat ever said anything about Bonenzo? I heard someone say she was in support of it, but I don't remember Kat even mentioning Enzo in any interviews, tweets, panels, etc.

I don't know... I would assume she did because she always asked about like every ship.

I really have no idea though, during Season 5 I wasn't really paying attention to much of TVD stuff on and off screen.

Kat said awhile ago that she doesn't really care about Bonnie's relationships, all that shipping stuff is for the fans.
The closest she ever came to choosing was when she said at a convention that Beremy, Bamon, and Kennett were her top 3 Bonnie ships, but it's obvious she only said that because at the time, they were the most popular in the fandom.

With Beremy I never knew how she felt although I knew Steven was very big on them.
With Kennett I know that both Kat and Nate were pushing so hard for them. lol

Klonnie was also gaining some momentum from both Joseph and Kate before the whole Klaronie thing so ... yeah. lol

Guess Kat just knows the fandoms pretty well.

It's too bad, if Bonnie/Enzo romance happened, I'd root for them over Bamon

Well in season 1, Bonnie didn't have a love interest, so the only popular ship in the Bonnie fandom was Bamon.
In season 2, she mostly talked about how great Beremy is. She also propped up Bamie when that was happening.

Bamie.. what a joke that pairing was, the writers was just playing games with that one.

Yes they are... although during Season 3-5... when I kind of quit the show, I kind of got over them.

Although I'm back to shipping them again.
I think my love for book!Bamon is really keeping me on the show right now to be quite honest.

I even was down with the Kol/Bonnie ship at one time because of how much Nate and Kate was pimping it.

Bamon is my OTP now but if the writers wisely went down the Bonnie/Enzo route [as they most likely won't] I'd root for them.

I think with Beremy, I just could never really ship them. It came so out of no where for me, and at the time I did ship Jeremy with Anna.

Then Season 3 happened when she got cheated on because of Ana, which made things strange.
