I agree with you, I could see it like this.

This makes me wanna see a flashback of Matt and Bonnie when they were smaller. I could see Matt being very protective of her.

We actually got a few but she left him in the crashed car because of the hunters curse and her urge to follow the vampires while Matt was injured there.

And I guess her advice for him, was one reason for him to leave MF.

I don't really know. We have to see where Matt ended up now. I guess they are in two different places at the beginning of the season. To be honest I don't really know what they could do with Matt after what happened in the finale.

Tbh yes. But I think that also has something to do with the writers not really giving him any purpose. Now he lost his fiance and he doesn't have any family left and is not on good terms with his friends. It is so weird.

Yeah for sure, that was a problem from the start. And it is weird how his relationship with the supernaturals was always so inconsistent.
