In a recent convention, I think Kat mention that Paul and actually Matt Davis she loved working with if they were together because of how hilarious it was on set.

Oh I love that she always mentions how funny Paul is because you really wouldn't know if you see Stefan as a character. He is the serious kind of guy.

^ Yup you wouldn't but you can definitely see it in his interviews. lol Ian and Paul portray such role reversal roles.

It sort of makes sense that Paul originally auditioned for Damon.

^ I think I wouldn't have because the reason I didn't ship them was because I disliked their storyline.

I felt they were way too rushed, Elena forgave him to easily and Stefan deserved better.. and it would've been better if Elena was different from Katherine....

So, if the storyline was the same, I don't think I would have.

Also, I loved Damon/Bonnie right away. lol
