Yeah I doubt that aswell, they just don't care about the girls enough. But they can always show us new flashbacks from the Salvatores.

Okay I re-read my post and I know why I called it a disaster, it was because I feel if a flashback happens now that it would mean that Bonnie is dying or something.

Yeah you are right, they wouldn't do it for characterization, only for some dramatic development in the plot.

Which is really a shame.
I still love how in Season 1, everyone was Bonnie's best friend. lol Caroline hanged out with Bonnie way more than Elena. Especially in the first few episodes, and Elena definitely hanged out with Bonnie.

It just showed right away what a great friend she was.

Caroline/Elena were close but I didn't get that BFF vibe from them at all.

Yes that's why it was so weird to me when we got more Elena/Caro in season 2 and 3 ... it just didn't fit and I hated that Bonnie was left out.

Agreed.

Even during the first probably 6 episodes? we saw that Bonnie's friendship meant the world for Caroline when she was a vampire.
And even we saw a real convo with Elena/Bonnie about her association with the vampires and what's happening to their friendship, where do they stand.

Around episode 7 is when things start to change.

Oh yes that is true, but I already hated that Bonnie missed like two of the most important episodes for Caro where she was trying to get used to the vampirism. Bonnie came back and they didn't care much about the friendship anymore.
