Matt and Bonnie actually had huge crushes on each other in the books. it was pretty cute!

yup. LJ Smith, the author, actually considered them a potential couple of hers but you know whats funny? in the new book Phantom, the ghost writer acted like they NEVER happened and Matt has feelings for Elena again

Im not sure but probably not. I have a feeling they might revisit Matt/Caroline one day and it would probably feel weird for the writers to have Matt hook up with both of his ex's BFFs I don't think I would want them together on the show. although Im a little conflicted like maybe a sexy hookup but not leading to something?

Add me, don't like them as a relationship but can live with a friendship. We all know they both can use one.

Me too. But I feel like people always bash the underused characters. Right now Matt is just there. And the only one that isn't supernatural. They really need to do something with him.

I loved him since Season 1 and like Bonnie, I feel that he gets too much criticism ...
I thought in Season 2, his reaction to everything was completely realistic and I feel that Matt & Bonnie gets too critized for having realistic reactions when others get loved for having OOC/[or]Crazy reactions to things.

I loved Matt for not accepting being with a vamp and for not liked getting liked to, or being compelled. The Matt/Caroline romance went wrong because of the both of them, not only Matt.


Yeah so I feel about the same for Matt and Bonnie.

so true April. Matt and Bonnie are the real underdogs on this show. they get the most hate from the fandom and they do get underused ALOT sigh

Isn't it like that in the books?...to an extend? he's the only one really not a part of the supernatural world, well who's not a supernatural being...in a way that might be the thing to keep him alive. staying away all the craziness.

Depends on how far you want to include the books. In the original 4-no. Meridth isn't supernatural. I mean her grandfather was attacked by a vampire and I can't remember if they reveal that her family are vampire hunters in the 4th book or if they did that in the Return trilogy. But I guess since Meridith isn't in the tv series it doesn't count. Bonnie in the books wasn't a witch. She had Druid ancestory. I can't remember now if she had any supernatural abilities. I think she had a little bit of psychic abilility.
