I remember on the Bamon thread everyone was actually making fun of that scene, we were saying 'Bonnie almost got her neck ripped off and she comforting Elena'

I thought it was hilarious at the time but while I was watching the scene I thought it was great and I just love their friendship...although after that episode me and Elena started having some problems...

I love that scene though, it was a nice moment for them.

It took me forever to know that Elena even cared about Bonnie.

it took me to the end of Season 2, to realize how much Elena loved her best friend cause I think in Season 1, they made Elena out to be a horrible friend. Just a mess but Season 2 really showed me how much Elena cares for her friends...and that's what made Elena become one of my favorites...I just had to see that she cared for more then the vamps and I'm happy that S2 explored that.

That's just for me, everyone has their own opinion on it

but I'm happy for Season 2, cause they wrote Bonnie and Elena friendship terrific.

I agree they have the best hugs. Loved the one this season when Bonnie finally came back to town and showed up at her house. You could tell how happy they were to see each other.
