Yeah the episode was pretty bad. I wasn't even excited to watch the Kol scenes, even though I thought that they were ok. The only parts that I liked were the Stefan/Elena fantasies, other than that nothing.

Watching tonight's episode reminded me exactly why I don't watch anymore. It makes me so mad to see guest stars like Enzo hog all of the spotlight and have the writers ignore people like Bonnie/Tyler.

I have a question concerning the mythology:

According to Markos, Silas/Qetsiyah caused a schism in the Traveler community, which gave rise to the witches. The witches cursed the Travelers so they can never settle down. This suggests that the travelers had settled down pre-curse. So why were they always called the Travelers? Shouldn't they have gotten the name after the witches' curse?

^You are right about that. Another sign that this storyline isn't planned out at all. They are totally confusing their own mythology. They should have never make Silas and Qetsiyah travelers ... like they were witches last year.

I actually do think that this reveal was planned right from the start when they came up with the idea of the Travelers. It's just that they don't seem to think this stuff through and don't pay much attention to mythology in general. Too busy focusing their creative energy into ship scenes, I guess.

Yeah and her part should be the most interesting with the other side falling apart.

Like why is it even happening? Is it only because Marcos got out ... like something like this happened with Jeremy who was brought back to life because of Bonnie, why didn't it fall apart then?

Btw, I disliked the line "did you read it in the newsletter on the Other Side" in her scene with Grams. It didn't fit at all. Also, that's her reaction when Grams tells her that she knows about the Markos thing? What is this writing?

Did she say that when Grams talked about the Travelers taking a toll on her? That was weird because she should know that Grams is probably watching her and is concerned about her going through pain because of being the anchor.
