Yes!

TPBM has seen/wants to see Wicked?

*I just realized I posted wrong on here too! This is NOT my day. :face_palm: I must have had both the This or That thread opened along with this one and just didn't look at the titles.

Not really, but I remember learning the Virginia Reel in middle school. It was SO much fun! I laughed and laughed while we did it, and I was good for a couple of weeks. Then, I never did it again.

It was exactly like this, and it is awesome to do: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzBRrPENWPY

TPBM knows how to ballroom dance?

Not really. I did take a folk dance class and we did have a ballroom dance section (we also did the Virginia Reel! It was fun.)

TPBM has taken some really cool classes while in college?

Yeah!

TPBM also has taken some really cool classes while in college?

* I loved my Ballet class at Virginia Commonwealth University, even though I only earned a C. I worked so hard for it, and I was incredibly proud of myself. The students in the class with me were majoring in Dance and went on to become professional dancers.

I also loved News Writing, Human Sexuality, and Social Psychology at VCU.

I loved The Art of Collecting (where we explored the Smithsonian all semester) at George Mason University.

I loved all of my classes at The Evergreen State College: Love and Work, South (on the American South), and Shakespeare & Chaucer.

Plus, I loved every single class in my master's degree program. It was phenomenal:
  • Integrated Arts Approaches in the Curriculum
  • Drama and Critical Literacy
  • Creative Movement: Kinesthetic Learning Across the Curriculum
  • Cultural History Through Storytelling
  • Multiple Perspectives Through Music
  • Art and Visual Inquiry
  • The Language of Poetry
  • Art and Culture in Community
  • Art and Society
  • Seminar and Thesis Project

I have, most notably film noir.

TPBM would have enjoyed a film class?

Oh, yes!

TPBM will share what he or she believes to be truths about the art of writing and/or storytelling?

Um....I haven't really figured that out yet other than honesty for the story you want to tell and a passion for it. Write the story you want to write; don't worry about everyone else.

TPBM has read a memoir or two?

Oh, those are GOOD ones! My mind is grappling with it this weekend, and I appreciate your sharing that! I think I've read some memoirs. I want to read some, if I haven't. Just yesterday, I was doing some research and came across information on this memoir:

A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Evidently, it is both loved and hated, depending on with whom you discuss it. I'll have to check it out at some point. I want to learn more about writing. I am destined to write something important. I feel it.

TPBM believes in the power of words?

I do!

*I'm glad they helped! The "write what you want to write" I got from Stephen King. I didn't agree with all of his advice, but a majority of it. His On Writing is really good. You should check it out.

TPBM sometimes gets worried about letting others read their work?

Yes. Absolutely.

TPBM wishes the motivation to write would strike soon?

* I have Stephen King's On Writing, but I have not read it in years and years. I should read it again.

Yes, I do! So much! It's not easy to believe it. It's like looking at sunlight. I almost feel as though I have to divert my eyes when I see it. It's too bright for me to process. But it warms me like the sun, too. It's really, really wonderful.

TPBM knows how much another chapter of She Came Around will mean to me one day?

I do. I just have to get motivated. I feel rusty.

TPBM can get embarrassed quite easily?
