I would have enjoyed those moments more, if they made Bay dream of having her own family one day. It doesn't feel like these moments will do that now. Or if they do, it will be Bay dreaming of starting a family with someone I don't enjoy seeing.

Just watching Bay interact with a baby doesn't do much for me. I already saw that with Bay and her little sister Abby.

Too bad Emmett never saw them together. Even Ty never got to see Bay interact with Abby, and he accompanied her on the trip to meet Abby.

The writers don't seem to care about making those connections. Too cliche for them, I guess. I would have loved watching it, though.

Yeah, we talk a lot on this board about what the writers chose to do to Bay and Emmett's relationship. With the bottom line being that the writers mutilated it. That was purposeful.

But the writers also did as much damage to Bay and Toby, just in a much quieter manner, and I don't think that the destruction of this sibling relationship was intentional at all.

Bay and Toby had so much potential in Season 1. Their closeness as brother and sister was powerful. I was awestruck by their connection and wanted to learn more from them and about them.

Then, from Season 1C moving forward, it was as if Bay and Toby no longer knew each other. It was as if they had never had that deep connection. At first, I thought it was the characters neglecting each other, as people often do with those to whom they are closest.

But then, I realized that it wasn't Bay and Toby neglecting their relationship. It was the writers neglecting their relationship. Even their lack of closeness was neglected. Bay and Toby simply were not a focus of the show at all.

Maybe the writers had too many characters to juggle.

But if so, that's there own fault, and they should have corrected it. Does the showrunner have an attention deficit? She cannot focus on anyone or anything for more than a second. As a viewer, it's so frustrating.
