Thanks for the new thread! I'm glad they're addressing Bay and John's relationship in this run. If we do an original post, I want to be the list!

I'm sure we will. Need to find someone to do a nice Bay-John artwork.
I really liked their interaction yesterday. John does love Bay and wants what is best for her. Being a parent and doing the right thing is hard because there are times when your children won't like you for it. Looking back now that I'm older and can appreciate it, I can see when my parents were strict with me, it was because they wanted me to be safe and secure. It's definitely hard. You want to be a friend, but in the end it's not always what they need. |

I really hope the Bay-John relationship is ruined beyond belief, but I have faith it won't be. The great thing about family is even when you think they don't like you or love you, they always have your back.

I liked their conveersation in the finale. "That's how I'd fell without you". So sweet. Glad they're ok now.

That was one of the best scenes from the finale. I liked that Bay and John got some bonding in there at the end.

Bay saying she'd fall apart without her street, how John said that's how he'd feel without her. I seriously cried. That was SO sweet.

I think John is going to end up letting Bay showcase her art at the car wash, or he'll end up renting a wall. It was a big eye opener for both of them. In the ned, Bay is just a girl who needs her father, and John is a father who needs his daughter and wants her to be (first and foremost) safe and happy, but they need to find a happy medium so that she's not always running off to Mexico.

I think they'll find ways to be creative about letting Bay express her art, ways that aren't so illegal.

I really grew to like the Bay/John relationship this half, and I am excited to see where it goes in season 2. I don't think John will ever be too lenient with any of his kids; certainly not a pushover, but I see him trying to understand Bay more.

Thankfully, I had misjudged him, because Bay really needed exactly who he was that night. As a dad, he couldn't have handled that situation much better. (Well, from my personal perspective, I do wish he had given Emmett a few more minutes to kiss Bay before he pulled the car up and shined the headlights on them. But I guess that's what dads do!) |
