I'm more excited about this episode than any we've seen so far, because it appears we are promised cute Bay & Emmett scenes! I cannot wait to see all the wonderful things they do together, during Emmett's surprise visit. I have this feeling that the writers will pull out ALL the stops and give us adorable overload, and I, for one, cannot wait! I have been missing that SO, SO much, since Emmett's 17th birthday party and the filming of Dawn of the Deaf, really. Oh, how I miss those days when we used to have all of that Bemmett goodness! |
thanks for opening. i hope they do get some happiness.

I'm glad they brought back the whole Travis/John friendship. It's cool that John will take Travis under his wing and saw that Travis's niche is in baseball. He was pretty good :D.

Why does this show always make me want to throw up?
I don't think shows are supposed to do this to you. The whole hour I just am so nervous :( |
This show is so mean
|
no, I'm serious though.
It's the worst. I want it to be 10:00 already. It's not a good thing. |
Why do writers consistently mess with a good thing, such as Bemmett? They think it needs to stay interesting and that there always needs to be conflict, but really it just pisses fans off. I'm disgusted.

I found this episode just thoroughly horrible. For one, Travis being condemned for daring to dream about playing baseball. His girlfriend saying that if he does, he'll be a jock and they're narcissistic (I think she's worried that if Travis becomes a successful baseball player, he won't want to date her anymore). Toby acted like a spoiled brat. Emmett pretty much surprised Bay and then seemed to be throwing his happiness in LA in her face, and Bay seemed disappointed that he is happy out there. Not good. Yes, both have separate lives now ... and Bay can go to a party and hang out, and Emmett can go out and have fun in LA without hiding from the world. As Regina pointed out, Emmett's in college now and doors are opening. Bay is still in KC, unfortunately, based on the position she put herself in when choosing to take the fall for Daphne. Kudos to John/Kathryn for cutting Toby off financially. He's a big boy now.
I was disgusted at the end and for the preview for next week. Bay went off with Tank, willingly drank the jungle juice (even though Tank warned her before it was lethal stuff). Honestly, it's the drink that's meant for girls to get drunk on so that frat boys can get lucky, right? Watching Bay actually choose to dunk her cup in the stuff and then comment on the strength, only to drink more of it .... I hate that they're making it a "was it drunken sex or date rape" story? Honestly, it's better to leave it as a drunken mistake. Bay got drunk, hung out with Tank, they were talking about funny times, kissed, etc and then things progressed. I don't think of Tank as a rapist, nor would I think he'd have gone all the way if he thought Bay wasn't into it. But the way they're framing the story, for Bay to say, "Did I say yes?" just screams that they're delving into territory they're not familiar with, and that they're trying for ratings. Given how they've handled other major storylines (alcoholism, drugs, gambling, etc) and dropped the ball on those, I'd rather they'd have NOT gone there on this one. Just as they threw Emmett the cheating storyline, they've already made Bay a cheater as well, and yet possibly a girl who made the same mistake Emmett did (getting drunk and sleeping with somebody after a fight). The only difference? Simone didn't ask Emmett what happened afterward - sadly they could've gone that route too given the circumstances. Simone and Emmett both got drunk, and both regretted what they did the next morning. This show is going downhill. JMHO. |
regarding the melody/travis/john plot, i thought it was weird that melody was so against travis playing baseball. he's 19 and can make he own choices and should be able to join sports or clubs if he wants to. and it would be his fault if he fails.
also, i got the feeling that mary beth didn't want travis to play baseball because she was insecure that he'd break up with her or something. i wonder how that will play out now that travis is going for it. |

I wonder, too. |
i mean, it's about time they had some conflict i guess.
