Synopsis: Daphne deals with a prankster in her dorm. Elsewhere, Bay interviews with the Kansas City Artist Showcase; Regina takes a liking to an Easter Riverside coffee house—and its owner; and John ponders his future as he celebrates a big birthday

So that guy that Regina met last week ... gee, didn't see that one coming when they met

. John ponders his future? He's already been a MLB pro, a senator, and a business owner. What's to ponder? I'll watch ... but I'm not on the edge of my seat with excitement or anything.

This guy might be alright. I like him.

He's DEFINITELY better than Bruce.

Patrick was a snooze in my opinion.

I didn't like Zane at all.

Wes wasn't any better.

This new guy, Eric Bishop, has promise. He seems real.

And I know I keep saying this, but I swear, I get the strongest feeling that he will have some connection to Angelo. Either Eric will have received one of Angelo's organs, through organ donation, or Eric will have known Angelo at some point, something.

Somehow, I feel that there will be a connection between Angelo and Eric. We are coming up on the end of the series, and this man just may be the one with whom Regina spends the rest of her life.

I like seeing John ponder his future. Kathryn received a big story, when she became a writer, but John's senate career never really took off. I would like to see John find himself. D.W. Moffett is an excellent actor, and John is a richly drawn character, far from perfect, but with some redeeming qualities. If the show had years left on the air, I would have loved to have seen John confront some real temptations, perhaps find himself in situation where HE was tempted to gamble or blackmail or break the law. Oh, well.

The episode description on my TV's schedule has slightly more information. It adds:

"Meanwhile, Emmett makes a new friend at film school who gets him a gig on a real production."

I'm looking forward to that. I would love for Emmett and Bay to explore all of the stresses of a Hollywood lifestyle together. But seeing as Bay cannot join Emmett this school year, I am at least glad we will see a bit of Emmett's exploration of that world.

I like the thought - I really do. Unfortunately, though, I doubt that the writers will continue through with the storyline when they've let so many just drop.

I like DW Moffett. I really do. I just wish they'd given him more to do. He's Bay and Daphne's only father now, and yet there's very little fatherly interaction.
