I'm excited for Bridgette's series. It will also be interesting to see how it compares to OUAT, because I'm sure there will be similarities.

Given it's dealing with some of the same premise, might very well be, yeah.

All Access Star Trek Looks Forward To Trek’s Return To The Big Screen
Kalinda served as Executive Producer on Once, and wrote or co-wrote OUAT episodes: Best Laid Plans, Unforgiven, Family Business, Kansas, Breaking Glass, Quiet Minds, Dark Hollow; Lost Girl, Selfless, Brave and True, Tiny, and Into the Deep. I mean, good luck to her. I know, I hated Selfless, Brave and True. I remember having a violent reaction to filler episode for a character that I already hated. __________________

Guess they didn't want to take a chance on it. I don't know how different from OUAT it actually was, but the premise was quite similar.

It did sound similar but it also would have been interesting to compare the two. Hopefully, the project still has a chance of life at a different network or streaming service.

Thread bump.
I'm rewatching the series from the beginning, and it's still kind of mind-boggling how much of the series' core narrative elements were set up with the first season and that were carrier through to the end completely unchanged. Adam and Eddy may not have had a stated 'beginning > middle > end' narrative in mind as they and their writing staff were making the series, but they still delivered something that really holds together and feels like a single story even with the shift in the last season to a new protagonist, and ought to be commended and recognized for that accomplishment because it isn't easy to do. __________________

I agree. And yes there are threads which go right through. I'm always amazed how scenes and lines are repeated and remembered on multiple seasons, that must be so hard to do.

Not surprised it got cancelled, yes it seemed a lot like OUAT but 90% of network shows are reality TV or crime procedurals, there aren’t a whole lot of shows like OUAT out there unless you count possibly streaming services
