Okay so I admit it, I am a total fan of Mulan. Can I be added to the list?

Growing up with fairytales I never wanted to be one of the "traditional princesses"- Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine, etc. I wanted to be someone a bit more hardcore.

And then the Disney movie version of Mulan came along and I found the fairytale girl I wanted to be. I dressed up as Mulan for Halloween once and on my 10th birthday we went to Disneyland and one of the parade themes happened to be centered around Mulan and I was extatic.

Aaaawwww that's sweet!!! I had the same problem as you did I think! I loved all the Princesses but Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty kind of bored me, I really wanted to be a badass Princess who makes her own decisions in life and goes on adventures like Ariel or Belle, and later when Mulan came in, I just couldn't help but think I wanted to be like her (and find my own Shang too)

Aw that's awesome!

Yeah that's why I love these new fairytales in OUAT. They finally portray the women princesses in a way that mkes them cool again. They've all got a bit of badass in them that hadn't been there before.

But Mulan, she was always badass from the get go. She was basically the Asian version of Joan of Arc and I lean towards characters/people like that.

Yeah, well I think Ariel and Belle were badass too in the Disney versions (maybe a bit more badass even for Disney's Belle compared to OUAT Belle ^^) but I really think Mulan is one of the best! The good thing with her is that she's also a clumsy, funny girl. Love her
