"Swan Song" - The dark siege of Storybrooke is underway as all of the resurrected Dark Ones target a living soul for sacrifice so that they can return to the realm of the living. With doom imminent, Gold advises Mary Margaret, David and the rest of the heroes to spend their last fleeting moments enjoying the company of their loved ones. Emma, however, refuses to give up, knowing that she is responsible for righting all the poor choices she made as Dark One – there’s only one problem, Dark Hook. When they face-off with the fate of Storybrooke at stake, Hook’s actions will devastate Emma in a way no one saw coming. In a Fairy Tale Land flashback, the Evil Queen tests Hook’s mettle by forcing him to confront a demon from his past before contracting him to dispatch one from hers.

I know and how could he have the dagger when the blade was whole and how could he know that Kilian would do the right thing at the end. I don't like the backsliding Rumple is doing. It's like everything he went though meant nothing. What about the Brave girl and Camelot. Their just going to leave them in SB?

Yeah, the dagger thing had me the most confused. It was forged back together to complete the sword. How could he have had it? And he said now he had the strength of all the Dark Ones. That didn't make much sense, either. I started another question, but I think I answered it on my own. I was going to say how could he do this to Belle, but he thought he'd sent her safely away, so I guess that answers that. He figured she would never know. But, yeah, he couldn't have known Kilian would do the right thing, either. You're right.

I hate the writers. They cannot write compelling stories and the way they jump around with their stupid twists make no sense at all. I don't want to watch this show anymore.

I second the rest of you, lol. The whole Rumple scenario is just ridiculous and made no sense. The dagger bit confused me too, I thought the same thing about it already being forged with excalibur. Thank goodness I watch now out of routine, not investment. Otherwise I would be upset.

OK, so I’m not usually one to complain about an episode and always do my best to find any storyline’s merits, etc and I DID enjoy a great deal about this episode...and then the writers completely ruined this for me.

-I enjoyed/was heartbroken watching Killian’s back story and am sad he resorted to killing his father.
-I LOVED the Snowing/Emma moments
-Hook sacrificing himself was beautiful and bittersweet (I was bawling ) and it was wonderfully acted by Jennifer and Colin.

BUT.....

WTF are they doing to poor Rumple?! Robert is an AMAZING actor and has always played Rumple with such skill and depth...watching Rumple become a hero recently has been great, the Rumbelle scene right after Hook’s sacrifice was great....and then they decide “lol, Rumple has actually been wanting to be the dark one again this whole time even though what he did with the dagger doesn’t really make sense lol"

Oh, and as much as I LOVE Captain Swan: the “I will always find you” line and sharing a heart should be for Snowing and Snowing alone.
