Yeah, I was a little put off by that. Don't get me wrong, I love Emma and her snark most of the time, but Aurora is rather innocent in all of this and I was happy that Mulan was looking out for her safety first and foremost. I get that Aurora eventually volunteered but still.

My friend and I were all over the place with the subtext in the episode, haha.

And I was disappointed that after the heart process was over and done with, we didn't get to see a hug between them or anything.

Mulan gave her heart back. OMG. OMG. That was even more romantic than the true love kiss for me. Not that the true love kiss is not romantic,but it has been done already various times and nobody got to have their hearts back like Aurora.

I was really bummed that Aurora and Mulan didn't make it to Storybrook as well, but them talking about bringing Philip's soul back got my hopes up that we haven't seen the last of them. :D

Me too. :sigh: At the beginning Mulan just stayed by her side because of her promise, but now they actually became friends. I loved how determined Mulan was to rescue Aurora in episode 8.
