Brennan Jones | Adam Croasdell #1: What kind of man are you going to be?



Brennan Jones is the father of Liam and Killian Jones. Killian first mentioned his father abandoning him as a child to a young Baelfire while he was in Neverland. (And Straight On 'til Morning, 2x22).

Hook: When I was a boy, my father and I boarded a ship with plans to travel the realms. One morning, I awoke, and he was gone. Turned out, he was a fugitive. He had fled in the middle of the night to avoid capture.
Baelfire: He abandoned you?
Hook: Aye. That he did.

This same story was repeated in a cut scene from "Family Business," 4x06.

"He abandoned me and my brother when we were children. We were voyaging on a ship, the three of us. One morning, Liam and I awoke… and our father wasn’t in the cabin. We searched the ship, but he was gone — he had stolen a dinghy while we slept […] I remember feeling like I’d been cast overboard. Like I was in the water, trying to stay above the surface, but something was dragging me downwards. It was dreadful. But thankfully, I had Liam to steady me. He was always there for me. I never would have survived without him." - Killian[x]

Especially since he's dead and now Hook is dead ... they should cross paths in the UW

I was surprised there was no thread for him too. I was thinking of using the Jones Brothers thread to post about him.

Talk about emotional drama. Think it would be nice for Emma to meet him.

I don't know...it's a complete mystery to me. Not sure if Killian ever told Emma the story of his father. I sure would like to know instead of leaving it to the realm of fanfic.

I'm sad we didn't get the chance to see Brennan in the Underworld arc. Hook killed his father, and I feel like the way Brennan died, there would most certainly have been unfinished business between Killian and his father. Killian didn't even mention to Liam that he'd met their father years ago in the Enchanted Forest. That should have been a conversation.

Liam's return had a lot of loose ends storywise. It would've been nice to have him for a mini two episode arc, case there was a lot going on in their one episode together.
