We all have our own versions as to "what's really important". I was drawn to the show for Emma's storyline and she continues to be my #1 focus.

Everything else just follows so while I'm curious as to what danger and trouble her family is in in the EF at the same time I really want to see Emma flashbacks with her "new memories"

Those "new memories" are not real. They will be gone when she gets her old memories back.

Of course, her life in the last year is definitely real, but I don't think it's interesting if it's just her living with Henry in New York without any twists and turns.

Belle didn't forget about the memories she had when Regina used the spell to make her think she was Lacey, and that exact same spell was used on Emma and Henry.

She did forget the sweet memories that she shared with Rumple, otherwise the true love kiss in the hospital would've worked. That being said, Hook's kiss shouldn't have worked even if Emma remembered who he is because I don't think he's her true love.

Regina's spell suppresses memories; it doesn't erase them.

Once Rumple used the potion on her, she got all of her memories back, including those of the Lacey persona that Regina's spell had given her.

I had forgotten about all of that, but it wouldn't have mattered who kissed Emma in the doorway of her apartment.

I know. It replaced them with false memories that didn't involve Rumple, but the Lacey days were real because her Belle persona was suppressed until she drank the potion. As to Emma and Henry, what they remember about the last year is real, while what they remember before that is not.

^ They'll still have those memories once they get their real memories - which WILL include everything we've seen them go through (since by giving them false memories, Regina circumvented the erasure of their real memories insofar as Storybrooke is concerned) - back, though, which is the point I was trying to make.

Emma and Henry are basically gonna go through what everyone in SB has. Their memories are erased and placed with new ones but once they get their memories back they will have both versions of memories just like David & Mary Margaret retained their EF memories as well as their SB memories.

That's impossible. You can't have memories of what has never happened. In her false memories from 2002 to 2013, she kept Henry and raised him, but in fact, she gave him up at birth and lived alone. As I said, from the moment she and Henry left SB to "one year later", that part is real, while the part before that is not.

Regina's memory spell circumvented the erasure of their memories of Storybrooke; it's the reason she offered to give them false memories in the first place.

Emma memories of SB are real. Once they're retrieved, her false memories FROM 2002 TO 2013 will be replaced with her real experience. That's my point.

^ That's not how the spell works. Belle has both her true memories and her false Lacey memories (provided by the memory spell), and the same thing will happen to Emma and Henry.
