Might be, but I think the island is already preying on what is both a strength and a weakness in him - his desire to protect his family above all else. It's not a coincidence he got this wound protecting Snow.
How he deals with his poisoning will probably be rather telling as well. __________________

Yeah, he looks subtly haunted the entire episode - not so obvious it was screaming it so everyone would notice, but just visible enough that we as viewers who knew would see it for what it was. Kudos on the acting!

I'm starting to understand the significance of David being a shepherd. Because in many ways he still is. He just has a much bigger flock to protect now.
He took on that responsibility when he decided to rule the kingdom with Snow. The needs and safety of the people are important to him. Makes sense that he'd want to take them all back to the enchanted forest some day. I wouldn't be surprised if after everything is said and done with Neverland he'll still want to get everyone and his family home. __________________
