Okay, watched 3 and 4. "The Price of Gold" really sets you up to hate Mr. Gold! Didn't last too long for me, though, because, after episode 6, Desperate Souls, I started feeling sorry for him and by 12, Skin Deep, he was my favorite character!

Snow Falls was such a perfect introduction of Snowing. It was a GREAT twist on the fairy tale.

The earliest versions of Snow White didn't even have Snow White and Prince Charming meeting before he gave he awoke her. So to have Snowing's first meeting actually be a heroic adventure they set off on together was awesome.

Meh...to be honest I felt that Price of Gold presented a lot of aspects of Gold's character that I actually liked in a villain.

The worst thing I feel he did in that episode was kill the unaware fairy. That was awful.

But I think it also showed how Rumple makes his deals. He presents himself just as he is. He doesn't pretend to be some generous, kind sorcerer. He introduced himself to Cinderella by killing her fairy godmother and then verbally warning her several times that she did not want to make a deal with him and she shouldn't want to get involved with any magic. Rumple makes it very clear to Cinderella that to make a deal with him is to make a deal with the devil.

Despite this she chased him and insisted on offering him anything for his magic. I don't want to bash Cinderella or anything but I find it hard to respect a character who watched a demon murder her fairy godmother and then only two minutes later is laughing giddily with him because he made a pretty dress and shoes for her.

Anyone else keeping up? I just watched The Heart is a Lonely Hunter and Desperate Souls, two very good episodes! Being a Rumple fan, I really love Desperate Souls and learning how and why he becomes the Dark One. And the Lonely Hunter episode is so sad because of Graham's death.

Love Desperate Sould for obvious reasons.
They turned Rumple/Gold from this trickster character into an actual human being with a really compelling story.

But I have a lot of respect for 1x07. It was a really daring choice to kill off the romantic interest of the main character just as they were connecting. Graham's death was devastating but it served several purposes story-wise. We got official confirmation that Regina remembered her life in FTL and it made the threat of death very real early on in the show because Graham truly died and was never revived.

It's actually a shame that since then, A&E have used the death/revival storyline so much that it unfortunately dulled that threat.

Snow Falls, Pilot and Skin Deep are my favourite episodes.

I've kept up but I'm already half way through season 2 so i'm having a break whilst the days pass by.

Watching episode 1.10, 7:15 A.M., and realized that the reason Grumpy is in King George's dungeon totally flies in the face of the Dreamy episode! He was saying he was going to propose to his girl, but he got swindled. He didn't realize he'd bought a stolen diamond and got the blame when the stolen diamond was discovered.

Still feel like I'm the only one watching! Just watched 11 and 12. I liked the Genie episode, loved how they explained the Evil Queen's mirror! And Skin Deep is my all-time favorite episode, so it was a treat to have an excuse to watch it again.

Good Form, one of my favorites. Loved seeing Hook's past and his relationship with his brother!

I'm slightly ahead I finished 4 "Nasty Habits". Had to make a trip to the ER yesterday so I watched 4 episodes in a row.

Hopefully I'll watch 3.05 tonight or tomorrow AM.

And I have a legal pad pages worth of notes.

^ while running into the house my son pushed open the door, and on the other side wearing sandals, my big left toe was rammed over by the door. Not to get too graphic, but it partially ripped open top layer of my toe. The nail is barely attached. Wasn't sure if it was broken as I couldn't stand on it so I went to the ER.

Now it's wrapped and I can't wear shoes for 3 weeks! Thankfully that's okay where I live, but it's throbbing and I'm very happily medicated.

Yesterday was an all around bad day for me. I should have never gotten out of bed. Everything went wrong from the moment I woke up.
