Part of the problem of calculating ratings is that the business of non-subscription based TV channels is basically to deliver viewers to their advertisers. People who skip commercials or watch in a way that allows no commercials aren't actually that interesting to the networks. So while they do need to find a new way to measure ratings, they also probably need new ways to deliver advertising with their content, cos that's what makes them money.

Cable TV has a different business model, so they're another matter.

If rating, do you have live viewer numbers?
Lynn posted these a couple of pages back

Also could you add it 2.2 to 5.12 demo rating

Sorry for the question but I was wondering, when they add the +3 and +7, do those include adds? Meaning, do those really count in terms of commercials or is it a general "Well, people still like the show"?
Because here it's very different and up to a week/10 days it's almost impossible to watch without ads, but maybe it's different in the US

I think there is a rating called L + C3 which is basically live ratings plus streaming with commercials, which the advertisers have access to. So those are counted and affect the revenue. They aren't published, but IIRC they're fairly close to the L + 3 ratings.

Early demo ratings is in for this week's episode: 0.9

Finally it's 1.0. Could never say it's good but considering nearly every shows dipped it's not that bad.

I'm not sure I really understand all this ratings stuff, but I know many schools had Spring Break last week and many have it this week (i.e. big travel week). Would that affect ratings as many famiiies would record OUAT and watch it when they return home?

Yes it would affect the Live ratings. Depending on when they watched it, it would count in overnights, L+3, or L+7.

Sounds like the episode did pretty good considering it was on a holiday. Yay!

Personally, I wouldn't call that pretty good. It's better than I feared. However, it's significantly lower than the season 3 episod that aired on Easter and just further proof of how much core audience the show has lost the past few seasons.
