Interesting thoughts in previous thread about how they'll fit 'Frozen' into OUAT..

Thanks for the new thread.

Not sure how they'll fit Frozen into the show. Not sure I like the idea of an exact redo of the movie. Characters, everything.

It's not a 'redo'; it's a continuation.

Having previously worked on two projects that were either based on or attempted to retell or continue existing stories, I can personally say that there is going to be PLENTY of room for A&E to innovate even with them building off of the events we saw in Frozen, especially since there's clearly going to be a significant amount of time between said events and what happens on OUaT.

I think their idea is to pick up the Frozen story after the events in the movie. Which means I need to see the movie!

I can't wait to see the DVD stuff!

I'm sure OUAT will make the story understandable to those who haven't seen the movie as well.

Should be very interesting that they picked the warmest part of the season to tell the "coldest" tale. Cast can't catch a warm break!

As well as a continuation, it could also have more backstory on Elsa's parents or what happened while she and Anna were growing up.

I've seen quite a few fan theories about Frozen but one which got me is that Anna/Elsa's parents were Gerda and Kai. These were the children in the original story.(I thought they were siblings but it turns out they were just friends as kids). That would probably cheer up the ones that aren't happy that they're doing Frozen and not the original snow queen. We know Elsa was born with her powers, but they can probably say the original SQ casts a curse on Kai which would give his first born her ice powers.

Forgot to add...TFTNT, Miss Cam

For clarification is this thread for general OUAT show news? Meaning the business side of things not story related news, correct?

I'm sure they will. I think knowing the story they are basing their tale off of makes it better. I already know Snow Queen so now I have to see Frozen!

It's for OUAT related news about merchandise, general media stuff and the sort of media stuff that doesn't need to go in the spoielr discussion thread. Obviously story-related interviews and news are usually a bit spoilery, so they usually belong in that thread.
