Kid's gotta learn to deal with things on his own. It's part of the hero's journey. Neal did alright without his father around. Henry will do the same.

To me it has nothing to do with a hero journey. When you lose someone that you love like that it is horrible and it stays with you always. For Neal it was the same and he had more time with his father than Henry. For me it will never be ok what the writers did with Neal.

I don't see how it's any different from Simba losing his father in The Lion King. Henry still has the rest of his family.
I miss my dad too. But it's a sad reality of life. We lose the people we love, and nothing can change that. __________________
