Some people have mentioned Marian/Sheriff of Nottingham which I think would be interesting (except the last time we saw him, he was a huge jerk)

All I hope for is the actress Christie to give her best performance in whatever role the writers create. The performance should be emotional and moving with Sean in order to make it believable.

I don't think anyone is against Marian wanting her family back. While, yes, I am rooting for Robin to chose Regina, I like the actress who plays Marian and wouldn't mind seeing more of Marian on the show. Just, for me, I don't want her with Robin. I could change my mind when the season starts, but for the moment I am looking at other options for her. I do think it would be fun to see Archie find a love interest and Marian could be it.

ETA: Jade, yes! Agreed!

CityGal: I really think Christie is going to knock it out of the park. She is a very expressive actress. Which is why her lack of emotion in the finale was a surprise for me!

Well yeah, I do think some people are rooting against that, actually. lol Not in this thread but I've seen some angry posts/comments towards Marian elsewhere.

I just don't find Archie interesting nor is he hot enough for me, or rather, Marian. lol

I think Christie did a good job in the finale. I especially liked how she played Marian seeing Roland. The way she looked at him, touched him, embraced him was very touching, I thought.

They could recast the role and rewrite the character. It's been awhile since the last R/M/SN episode so the writers could rework the story and characters.

It could be the direction from the writers to fit the story. Maybe they asked her to tone it down. We'll see what's in store for the story. I'm actually very interested in how this plays out.
