Since he and Jacinda don't know he needs a cure they don't know there's anything stopping them. Besides, if they did break the curse but remained in HH, wouldn't he still be safe since they're still in a world that's mostly without magic?

That is really unclear. Some magic does seem to work in HH, so I assume he would be affected. Plus narratively speaking there needs to be a threat to his life, or everyone wouldn't be worrying about it. Maybe TLK brings back magic, or something?

That could be it. Just the possibility of of their reunion brought a bit of magic back in 7x01. A fullblown TLK might bring all magic back. I just think it would be interesting if Henry/Ella casually broke the curse, not knowing what would happen, and that abruptly raised the stakes. When the characters spend a lot of time trying to prevent something from happening, it's always interesting to see what they do when it actually occurs. It would be a little anticlimatic imo if they broke the curse only when it was safe to.

That's a good point. It would be anticlimactic. Hopefully it won't be as easy as that.

Henry was in a coma and woke up when the curse was broken last time, so him falling into a coma when the curse broke this time would be the sort of thing I could see the writers go for.

Exactly. I feel like the story should somehow mirror the premiere at the end. So with another TLK or maybe a wedding.
