Snow and Charming really didn't know Neal all that well, so I am pretty sure this naming was for Emma, for Henry and maybe a bit for Rumple too.

I loved how Robert played that moment - so understated yet coming across perfectly how much it meant to him.

I would love for tham to be a family more. Have CHarming get Rumple involved sicne he's part of the family and henry's grandpa

I think the choice of getting involved or not is Rumple's, really. I don't think he would be denied if he wanted to, but I don't think the Charmings will necessarily push it. Rumple has always kept himself slightly apart from everyone (while enjoying on some level being who people come to) so they might not even think he's interested. He was a bit dismissive of Henry in NY (due to the prophecy, the viewers know, but Henry wouldn't) so he hasn't really given any indication to them that he's interested in a grandfather role, you know? So I think it's a bit up to Rumple himself if he does want that role.

oh I agree. I'd like to see him wanting to be part of things a bit more. Hes the type that family is important to him. Even his dream of Henry's birthday sent him mixed messages. Self preservation and worry over the prophecy, and being with family.

SO I hope that if he's hanging back a bit that Charming, Belle of someone gives him a nudge if needed.

Given that Rumple lost his son, I could see him looking out for Henry and baby Neal as a tribute to his son, which could bring him closer to the whole extended Charming family. But I can also see him just pull away, so we'll have to see how it goes.

He and Belle was at Granny's for the coronation thing with Snow and Charming's baby, so obviously he was invited and was willing to go along with Belle. Good sign?

I think it's a good sign. But as you said it could go either way. Rumple does tend to be a loner and not put himself out there except for Belle and Bae.

Most of it is probably wishful fangirling. But maybe towards the end of the series Rumple will become more part of the family.

At least he has the option for an extended family if he wants to. It's up to him whether or not he wants to take that option. I guess what Belle wants will also figure in.
