Hmmm. I do wonder if that means Rumple will at some point choose his son over power, and thus end the circle. He gave up his life to protect Neal back with Peter Pan, but maybe this is more about giving up the power and having to live on without it.

I guess we'll see.

Yes, great episode. Good back story on Black Fairy. Don't feel sorry for her though.

Robert was superb as usual. And Emilie just shines.

Could have done without Zelena.

Tiger Lily being his fairy godmother was a nice twist.

And Rumple is so playing the Black Fairy.

Also enjoyed the Gold/Emma scenes.

Tragic backstories really don't excuse anything villains do. The Black Fairy is still a psychopath. I can understand her hating Blue and the rest of the fairies. But the children she stole and took to the dark realm certainly didn't deserve what she did to them.

I also doubt very much Belle would understand her justification for what she did to Gideon, by simply saying that she made him "strong".

Yeah, I doubt that as well. The Black Fairy needs to be destroyed. I really didn't feel for her like I have some of the other villains. She may have started out loving Rumple but she became so twisted that I just didn't feel for her like I have some of the others.

I agree with everything. I also loved the twist of Rumple being born as the savior. I didn't see that coming! And the Golds were adorable

I think this is my favorite episode this season (thus far).

Agree. And Rumple has a plan of some sort he changed sides far too quickly.

I don't trust him to do the right thing, unless it's just for himself or his family.

But I suppose it makes sense. If he'd have banished or killed the Black Fairy he never would have been able to return Gideon's heart to him.

Good episode exploring the black fairy's background. I liked Hook asking Henry to be best man. I'm hoping Rumple will double cross the black fairy.

I watched the episode a few days ago and I'm still confused about how the Savior mythology is supposed to work. So, Rumple was the first savior and then Fiona severed his fate, the savior magic floated away and then what? Is savior magic just floating around for a very long time until it finds a proper host? Is savior magic an entity now like the dark one curse?

Another question we'd all like to ask A&E? I got the impression that the magic thread was Rumple's destiny not the saviour magic as such, so she cut his ties to his destiny and therefore cuts his ties to the becoming the saviour, at the same time. That's just the way I saw it, though...
