Jared said in one of his interviews with Comic con, that he wants Henry and Hook scenes again - something like this......
.....another character I think it would be more interesting to spend time with is Captain Hook. Because Captain Hook was telling Henry about Neal but that was when Henry had no idea but I think it would be interesting NOW for Henry to learn more about his Dad when he was younger" X __________________

Haven't seen that sword again, so hard to say if Emma returned it to Hook or kept it herself. But with the curse being undone in 3x11, who knows what happened to it.
Emma was using a sword in 3x20 when they were trying to save the baby, but I'm honestly not sure if that was the same sword. __________________

I'm pretty sure that was Hook's sword she was using after she lost her gun.
Anyway, if the writers decide that some previous object has some significance they'll find a way to bring it back. __________________
