It seems to me Emilie kind of indicated during the hiatus from Season 2 that we would be getting more of how Belle felt and how Rumple acted with Lacey. I don't know if that was just wishful thinking on her part or they told her that was what would happen.

Oh no there are quite a few of us on tumblr who loved Lacey and wanted to see more of her...and also the fallout afterwards with Belle having Lacey's memories..

I didn't hate Lacey but I also think she was just completely opposite of Belle, even moreso than the others' cursed personalities. But it's really a shame they didn't give Belle any more of a reaction to what happened there.
