So is the movie Belle, though. I kind of hope they won't change that too much. It's such an essential part of her character (IMO), and something I can relate to.

Yeah, if you think about it, movie Belle was a "peculiar" girl to the people in the town. She was different. And that was fine. I loved her that way. She didn't need to be in a crowd of people or have tons of friends.

Long before Once, I always found Belle to the most relatable of the Disney princesses.

I remember watching Beauty and the BEast and just loving that character so much. Her love of books. The fact that she wasn't looking for some prince. And her kindness and being okay being "different" and kind of a loner. Just endeared her to me.

I think adding Belle to the Once cast is one of the smartest things A&E ever did.

Yep. I also loved the "Belle and the Beast against the world" dynamic.

Her getting along and working with the other characters is fine, but I don't need her to be BFFs with everyone. That would make her character blander to me, because being different and "a loner" is something I can truly relate to and one of the things I love about her.

Same here!

Happiness doesn't always mean being surrounded by a big group of friends. Sometimes having just a few close friends/loved ones is enough, and I think Rumbelle could be that kind of story.

I saw one of the cute phone edits for Belle; however I don't want to post it because the song choice is the One Direction's Stockholm Syndrome. Please let me know if that offends you within 24 hours. The rest is adorable. And the song is more about a boy falling for a girl not true Stockholm Syndrome.

Yeah, I've seen that. I think it's cute, but the SS thing does rub me the wrong way..
