I was just thinking how Anna is kind of typical of a sibling of a child with special needs. Parents with a disabled or ill child can wind up neglecting the needs of healthy children. You can argue about whether or not their parents dealt well with Elsa's problem, but Elsa understood why she was isolated as a child. She also seems to have had her parents' love and support through that time. In the movie, she's constantly shown with them as they try to help her deal with her powers.

Anna, on the other hand, was isolated but didn't know why. She was cut off not just from her sister but from her parents. While I'm sure they didn't completely ignore her, we don't see them interacting with her till they say goodbye for the voyage and they don't seem to be aware of the difficulties Anna was facing. She didn't know the reasons for the change and isolation. She just had to cope with it. The movie makes it clear that this left her emotionally vulnerable to a manipulative, abusive who pretended to care about her.

Oh, side thing, if Hans shows up, that may be why they had Anna leave before her wedding. If Hans and his brothers still have some plans the grab the kingdom, an unmarried Anna offers opportunities that a married Anna wouldn't (or wouldn't unless they want to track down Kristoff and possibly start a war with his family).

I found Elsa and Anna's parents to be well meaning but clueless on how to deal with their daughters powers. I do agree that Anna might have felt neglected because her parents were spending a lot of their energy on Elsa. I don't think her parents were abusive as some people I just think they didnt how to handle things

I don't think they were abusive either. For how they should have dealt with it, I really like the "How It Should Have Ended" version of Frozen on Youtube (even if the ultimate solution wasn't one they could do in the movie, I suppose).

Children with special needs can mean things for the parents like trips to the emergency room, prolonged hospital stays, parents having to help a child with physical therapy or learning normal skills that don't come naturally, things that cut into time and energy. It becomes very easy to let things slide for another child or children because they aren't life-threatening or don't seem as critical. But, the cumulative effect can be pretty bad. It can be even worse when the healthy child doesn't understand why things are this way, like the case I read where a child told his parents he wished he was in a wheelchair too so they'd spend time with him.

I saw it was funny. To be fair I don't Ftl books has parenting on how to handle a sick or special needs child. Plus i think they want to protect Elsa from people Hans or the mayor of weaseltown who want to exploit their powerIt's true some healthy can feel neglected when their parent spend their energy on their special needs or ill sibling

I did feel bad for Anna. I think her parents made as much effort as they could to be parents to both of them but she was excluded from the family secret. They thought they were protecting her and I understand that.
