I wish that A&E had kept the Hook sharing his past with Emma. Originally I wanted Emma to share her past with her parents, but if they had Hook sharing his past with Emma I would've been happier. Idk how much of Hook's past has actually been shared with Emma?

Emma has always somewhat shared her past with Hook and been vunerable more with him, even when she says less - he understands her so much

She knows about Liam because Charming told in Neverland what happened there(which was done off-screen, she knows that, she knows about his vengeance, his hand, his first love etc - and he doesnt talk much about Liam as well (last time he mentioned him was in season 3 finale) and his parents/childhood (maybe in their dates they talked little about - who knows) )

We saw in the deleted scene, even through he opened up to help her as well, he also made it about her in the end, how hard it must of been for her.....

I think A&E took it out as i think they are saving it to be in future episode and give more time too and also said its work in progress but generally we get the idea what happened... with his dad

I think too Adam and Eddy want to save telling the full story of Hook's arc, maybe for a longer arc. Heck, if they could make the Neverland arc about Rumple confronting his father, then I believe they would figure out something similar for Hook's background. And I think that's better because I think Hook deserves more than episode to tell the full story.

I think they'll use it when it has more of an impact to the story like 2.22 with Bae. It's too important to give it a casual mention only.
