Do you think John is in a coma, not only because what happened to the Prince, but also, because of what Henry said, when people try to leave, bad things happen...

Hmm, I thought of that at first, but if his coma is because of trying to leave Storybrooke, then they would know who he is and not be a "John Doe".
I think when they were transported in that world, maybe he was already in a coma, that's why he's a John Doe, cause no one knows who he is. __________________

Yeah... I mean, if Charming tried to leave and then got into an accident cause of that, then someone in the town would have known him and identified him if he's been there for even a bit of time.

I don't think John Doe is in a coma because he tried to leave. He was pretty wounded when he was in fairytale land with a sword wound to the gut. I could see them finding him and be taken to the hospital where he had surgery, but just has never woken up.

That's most likely the case, yes. But just entertaining Andi's idea some more, the consequence of slipping into a coma if he was already awake, didn't necessarily have to be something John did himself: aka. try to leave town. We don't know for sure how the curse works and if the consequences of someone trying to leave directly effects them only or if these consequences can extend to anyone living inside of Storybrooke too. Henry wasn't specific like that, it was kind of general like ... someone tries to leave, bad things happen. That can mean to anyone, I would think.  __________________

Hmm I guess, cause in the Inn, Red Hiding Hood's grandma pointed out how she got a heart attack (or something) when Red Riding Hood tried to leave for college.
