i wonder that too - i feel like out of everyone Neal would have the best backstory, just because of the time and different worlds

i'd also like to know what Emma was doing before she met Neal - we really don't have that piece of the puzzle.

Most of the other fairy tale characters we sort of know what they were doing in EF, and then we know in SB it was a bit of a groundhog day thing going on - so Neal and Emma are the only ones with super interesting backstories left (Probably Hook too)
