I agree, that line made no sense whatsoever. Still, it was only one short line. That's maybe enough for hardcore CS shippers, but I think it's way more important that he left her to die in SB. He didn't come back for her. He did it because he remembered what Bae said to him.

I still don't think there will be a triangle. The season 3 premiere will probably pick up where season 2 ended. No time will have passed. Neal just "died" and Henry has been kidnapped. Emma will be preoccupied with finding her son and mourning his father. If the writers should really use this time to show a romance between Hook and Emma, I will lose all respect for them.

For now I simply choose to believe that Neal is in Neverland and that Emma & co. will find him in the season premiere. It's the only theory that I can get excited about.

Some people think Peter is Henry, or better said his shadow, but I don't think so. I have nothing against time travel and parallel universes, but I don't see it happening in OUAT. Imo it has to do with Rumples undoing and the picture may be part of a prophecy.

Plus the writers have said there will be no time-traveling on this show.
