I was just thinking that SwanThief vs SwanFire is the only shipping war I have no problem with!

I like the name SwanFire, but to me that's Emma/Bae, while SwanThief is Emma/Neal. Maybe that will change with time, but right now I'm still thinking of Neal and Bae as two different characters.

Why? The show made it clear that there is no distinction. That's why they titled the second ep of the season "We are Both".

I think it's because so much of Bae/Neals story is still missing. When he was Bae he was a child in FTL. And when we met him again as Neal, he was a grown up man in our world. I'm sure I'll feel differently about it when I've seen more of his backstory.

It's ok to feel that way, I think of him as Neal for every relationship he has but the one with his father. I cannot for the life of me to think of them as Gold/Neal, they'll always be Rumple/Bae for me.

^ Like I said - and like the show made clear - there's no difference or distinction. It doesn't matter if you refer to Neal as Neal or Baelfire or Rumple as Gold or Rumple; they're the same person.

Of course they are the same person. No one here has said anything to the contrary. We were talking about feelings and they don't always make sense. At least mine don't.

I'm pretty sure a Neal centric episode with Bae flashbacks will help me to emotionally connect "the two of them".

How Neal got his name is something I really want to see too!
