I spent the last few days watching S3 of The 100. They had characters being OCC for episode after episode just to kill off one character.

I think they do the OOC stuff just so they kill the character and don't really care if the audience notices that. It's easy to do lazy writing after all.

That's true but it's not that difficult to kill a character, is it? I mean it's not necessary to spend a lot of time preparing for it.
