But back to OUAT: Do you think the fans would have accepted it if one of the main characters had been recast?

I was thinking about one of the main characters (since season 1) : Emma, Snow, Charming, Rumple or Regina.

I just can't imagine it would work. I mean magic should make it possible, same person, different body but I don't think fans would have been okay with it.

There was a show I watched where they killed off the main character's husband and had his spirit or soul or whatever take over another man's body. The audience still saw the original actor but the characters and stuff like seeing his face in the mirror, had the new actor. It was weird and I didn't enjoy it.

I can't remember how it ended. I think I stopped watching it after a few episodes of that plot. Her husband was dead though, so it's not he could go back to being that body.
