I also expected to like Damon and Elena. I was a big fan of the actor on other projects and they did have chemistry but I felt they made the guy to bad. I rooted for Tyler/Caroline and Stephen/Elena casually although Stephen/Caroline in some scenes but eventually I quit it got boring and the ships became problematic

^^ maybe it's best to just watch a show and not rely solely on a particular ship as a reason for viewing. I certainly wouldn't watch a boring show, regardless if I really liked a couple on it.


Anyway back on topic, favorite SF moment or quote?

It's always best to like a show for more reasons than only a ship but sometimes that's just not what happens. I liked OUAT season 1 but I got bored in season 2 ans was about to stop watching when ST happened.

My favorite ST moment will always be their first meeting. Imo it was perfect.

I've enjoyed shows for reasons other than ships. I have shows where I ship no one.

Same here. Right now there's not a single show that I watch because of a ship.

Probably a good thing for you.

It certainly makes things easier. Less emotional too which can be good or bad.

You might not watch if you aren't emotionally connecting to it.
