Sure something would have interrupted that.

Sorry, didn't mean it that way. I was just surprised when I realized the equation held there, too, which suggests a perspective shift. It's like when I first heard certain ballad and suddenly realized the character I'd thought was the antagonist was really the hero. The story structure did a sudden shape-change in my head (and made more sense).

I'd say the third party worked in MM and David's case--especially because they made Kathryn so sympathetic. It worked in Graham and Emma, too. It was complex and dealt with elements of the curse, magical control, Emma's role as savior, and the dangers that came with trying to break the curse.

In the case of Tamara, I think it didn't work because Tamara was never more than a barrier to Emma and Neal and a mustache twirling villain. Graham and Kathryn existed as real people the audience cared about. It was possible to not root for the relationships but still not want them to be hurt (although I rooted for Emma and Graham at the time, that I came to root for a different relationship later doesn't mean I stopped liking Graham's character or that I would freak out if they came out with a good story line to bring him back).

I agree they did a good job making Katheryn sympathic and a victim of the curse.
Tamara might have been intresting as a character if they gave her a motivation or showed Neal telling something that he was hiding out with Tamara to quote OTh.

Maybe if the actress hadn't gotten a role on another show they 'd have done more with Tamara and thus she might not have been so pointless.

Thanks for the gif.

RR are back on track. Emmas love life is different that none of her relationships have been declared TL on the show with a kiss or pixie dust. That way shipping it is hard

She's the main character and doesn't have a destine love like Snowing is for example.

ST were TL. That's one thing I never doubted and even if the writers would openly declare that they weren't, it wouldn't make a difference for me. I know what I saw on screen and nothing can change that.

That's why shipping them was never difficult for me. Neal made mistakes and I'm not happy he left Emma, but we know he did it because he thought it was the right thing to do. He did it for Emma. It just didn't work out that way.

He always tried to do the right thing. Not unlike Emma. They could have been great together.

I am not faulting you. you ship them of course you believe there TL. I was just saying that things weren't so set in stone with Emma unlike the other characters
